WHEN SECONDS COUNT
The Valcom Earthquake Early Warning System (VEEWS) has been developed in partnership
with the United States Geological Service (USGS) to deliver ShakeAlert® early warning
messages seconds in advance of shaking – to prevent physical injury, loss of life, and loss of
property.
- Deliver early audio and visual warnings
- Broadcast a unique alerting tone
- Announce safety instructions like: “Drop, Cover, Hold On”
- Activate warnings based on site-specific location details
- Connect to PA systems, LED signs, and PC screen pops
- Provide time to shut down equipment, open doors, stop-open elevators and others
